Lynn Jenkins

Lynn is a registered clinical psychologist. She has worked in private practice for over 13 years and has provided therapy to people with a variety of psychological and emotional difficulties. Lynn is a passionate, empathic and engaging therapist who specialises in working with children (aged 3-12 years).

Lynn typically treats anxiety, depression, grief, difficulties associated with sexual abuse and relationships. Lynn has a particular passion for early intervention. Her preferred treatment approaches include: CBT, ACT, Mindfulness and Hypnosis.

Lynn wears many hats. She is a trained Kids and Family Yoga Instructor and Mindfulness teacher, offering groups classes in her wellness centre, The Meditation Space. She is also a published author. Her books include Best Start, examining early emotional foundations of a child and how to provide the best start for a child, School Start, essential reading for any parent wanting to help their child develop the emotional skills necessary for school success, Lessons of a Lac, a resource picture book, teaching children a useful way to think about and manage their worries and anxieties, Brave, teaching children how to find their inner brave, and her latest book, Ollies Treasure, teaching children about mindfulness and happiness. Lynn together with illustrator, Kirrili Lonergan, visits schools to educate kids about anxiety and how to manage it.

Lynn loves to educate and assist new parents with the social/emotional aspects of the parent-child relationship, anxiety and depression during and post-pregnancy, as well as assisting children to manage their worries and anxiety.
