Tim Lankford, Chief Roboticist at TETRIX

TETRIX Robotics | Telerobotics in Industry and the Classroom
Telerobotics is one of the fastest changing technologies that will continue to evolve and significantly impact many industries. How do we prepare students of today for this future? This session will briefly look at Telerobotics today, it's current impact and then discuss how to use TETRIX to bridge the classroom to industry. Opportunity for brief discussion will follow live demo’s and access to hands-on application of current classroom technology.

About Tim Lankford

It was 17+ years ago that Tim rediscovered a childhood passion for the LEGO building system when he started his professional journey at Pitsco Education. That journey was jump started by his introduction to MINDSTORMS and the LEGO RCX as Tim began his career of working with and building educational robots. Tim made it his passion and goal to share robotics with others - especially teachers who want to spark the same interest in their students - and became one of the first Master Trainers for LEGO Education North America.

As the next logical step in his robotic journey, Tim moved to TETRIX in 2014 and became one of only a few TETRIX Master Robotics Trainers. He has since conducted workshops all around the world. While he still spends time building robots for fun, Tim is super excited about launching the new Pitsco Certified Robotics Educator Program in Australia, to make robotics more accessible in the classroom.
